hey hey! my name's Halle + I am a college student in beautiful small town Iowa. it's maybe obvious, but I'm the only girl in the best ever family of 5. that being said, it also probably won't take long to realize that my family of 5 comes with an asterisk. in 2012, my older brother was taken home to heaven at age 16. his life + faith in God has influenced me in more ways than imaginable. thanks to him, I think I better realize that nothing's guaranteed + thank my Lord for each day He gives me. 

lots of things make me happy + I'm a strong believer in laughter. some of my favorite things are handwritten notes, popcorn with m&ms, + a candid picture that perfectly captures a feeling. i'm a lover of country music + am the biggest ever brett young fan. seriously, I'm obsessed. family meals (ones with my cousins are the best) are another list-topper. throughout my year, I spend a lot of time being busy. I'm an aspiring photographer + nearly always have my camera with me (follow along @ivyannephotoanddesign). any time I get to spend with my friends is also just so sweet. they're the best! last, but definitely not least, I absolutely love to travel. someday, I dream of going everywhere! a piece of me is in Mexico + has been since the first time I went. there's just something so special about that place! I'm also a sucker for southern charm + dream of living in nashville someday. 

finally, I'm so very thankful again for everything God has blessed me with. I pray that each day, I stand with my arms open to Him + ask, "how're you gonna use me today?" + I pray that you'll do the same.
